Chi Shay began his life in the salon at the internationally renowned salon Toni&Guy in Dallas, Texas since 2004.  His natural sense of style and fashion brought him into the hair industry, while he received his BA in Art/Music from Texas Christian University.  After completed his apprenticeship in 2007, Chi began an accomplished 5 year career as Art Director/Salon Educator. He also was selected to join Toni&Guy Artistic Team which lead him to explore the editorial world.   By 2012, Chi made his way to New York to pursue a career in editorial.  Now he is working as a freelance hair and makeup artist for photoshoot and personal clients.  

 

  Recently in 2016, Allure.com have featured his work and named him “one of the 10 emerging hairstylist” mentored by the legendary Sam McKnight.
